A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Inhibitory Subunit Of NF Kappa B Alpha (IKB alpha) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reactive with human samples, the assay is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

Quantitative performance is specified across a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Detection relies on a biotinylated anti-IKB alpha antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction yields a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to IKB alpha concentration and is quantified against a standard curve.

Reported spike recovery (n=5) averages 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions (n=5 per dilution) yields recovery ranges of 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma. Provided components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated per component.
