Human IL-12 p70 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IL-12 p70 in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma, using colorimetric detection on a microplate platform. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich ELISA format in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human IL-12p70 is immobilised onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for IL-12 p70. After incubation and removal of unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added. A substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of IL-12 p70 bound; the reaction is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured using a microplate reader.

The kit is reactive with human samples and can assay both native and recombinant human IL-12 p70, with no significant cross-reactivity reported in the manufacturer's data. Reported sensitivity is 0.78 pg/ml and the assay range is 7.81 - 500 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is 99%. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
