Human IGF-1 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IGF-1 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The kit is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique. A monoclonal antibody specific for human IGF-1 is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by the addition of a biotin-linked detection antibody specific for IGF-1, so that IGF-1 present is bound by both the immobilized capture antibody and the detection antibody. After removal of any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added. Following washing, a substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of IGF-1 bound. Colour development is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured by a microplate reader.

The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant human IGF-1. The quantitative assay range is 62.50 - 4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 15.35 pg/ml. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform and the kit is intended for human reactivity. For storage, the kit should be kept at +4°C and must not be used past its expiration date.
