Human IFN-ß ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interferon beta in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay has a runtime of 4 hours and uses colorimetric detection with absorbance read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The kit is specific for Interferon beta with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. It operates over a product range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL. Serum and plasma samples may affect test results and should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing. Validated sample dilutions include healthy serum at 1:2 and A549 cell culture supernatants (10 µg/mL poly I:C stimulation for 24 hours) tested undiluted.

Recovery performance was evaluated across three sample matrices: serum showed a range of 90%-105% (97% average), EDTA plasma 87%-103% (98% average), and heparin plasma 93%-104% (98% average). The kit is shipped at +4°C and components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the Protocol Manual. Users are advised not to use the kit past its expiration date and to avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
