Human Iduronate-2-Sulfatase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Iduronate 2 Sulfatase/SIDS in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microtiter plate onto which an antibody specific for Iduronate 2 Sulfatase/SIDS has been immobilised. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Iduronate 2 Sulfatase/SIDS Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, a TMB substrate is added; the HRP enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is then read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Quoted specifications include a sensitivity of <0.057 ng/ml, a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery values are reported as follows: serum (n=5), range 80%–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5), range 81%–100%, average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5), range 80%–89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity is provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5 each). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
