Human Hyaluronan Binding Protein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Hyaluronan Binding Protein 2 (HABP2) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for HABP2. Standards and samples are added to the wells and HABP2 in each sample is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HABP2 Antibody binds the captured HABP2, followed by addition of HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of HABP2 captured in each well and is quantified against the standard curve using a colourimetric microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 78.1–5000 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <28 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Manufacturer validation data report the following recoveries across matrices: serum (n=5) range 80–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) range 81–100%, average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) range 80–89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix).
