Human HtrA Serine Peptidase 1 ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com kit is a sandwich ELISA intended for the quantitative determination of human HtrA Serine Peptidase 1 (htrA1) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-htrA1 antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate for detection. htrA1 present in standards and samples is captured by the immobilised antibody and visualised through a TMB substrate reaction that produces a colour change proportional to htrA1 concentration. The reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader, with the htrA1 concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 31.2–2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <13.2 pg/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix), with average recoveries of 91% (range 80%–102%), 90% (range 81%–100%), and 84% (range 80%–89%), respectively. Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across the three sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
