Human Hornerin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HRNR (Hornerin) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for HRNR pre-coated onto the microplate wells to capture the target from added standards and test samples.

Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HRNR Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate solution, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colourimetric microplate reader. The assay range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <28 pg/ml, and the complete assay time is 4h 30m. Detection is performed on a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip configuration.

Recovery has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Reported recovery ranges are: Serum (n=5) 80%-102% with an average of 91%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) 81%-100% with an average of 90%; Heparin Plasma (n=5) 80%-89% with an average of 84%. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
