Human Histone Deacetylase 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HDAC5 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for HDAC5 immobilised on the wells. Standards and test samples are added and any HDAC5 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HDAC5 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Following further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction; the resulting blue product changes to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of HDAC5 captured in each well. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and HDAC5 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported performance: assay range 0.312–20 ng/ml, sensitivity <0.113 ng/ml, total assay time 4 h 30 min. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.
