Human Histatin 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative measurement of human Histatin 3 in saliva, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with colourimetric detection by absorbance at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader. The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml, and the total run time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Capture is performed by an anti-Histatin 3 antibody immobilised on the plate; bound analyte is detected sequentially with a biotinylated anti-Histatin 3 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, yielding a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to Histatin 3 concentration and is quantified against a standard curve. The kit is supplied with lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated.
