Human Histamine Receptor H1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Histamine Receptor H1 (HRH1/H1R) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and uses colourmetric detection, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Standards and test samples are added to the pre-coated wells, where HRH1/H1R is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HRH1/H1R Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The catalysed reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow on addition of the acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of HRH1/H1R captured in each well. The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.128 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min.

Manufacturer-reported average recovery values are: Serum 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), EDTA Plasma 90% (range 81–100%, n=5) and Heparin Plasma 84% (range 80–89%, n=5).
