From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HMGA1 (High Mobility Group AT Hook Protein 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids, and is also suitable for serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant samples. The assay employs an antibody specific for HMGA1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-HMGA1 Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose density is proportional to HMGA1 concentration and is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.124 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.
