Human Hexosaminidase B Beta ELISA Kit

This sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HEXB in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids.

The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate with immobilised antibody specific for HEXB. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-HEXB Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration of HEXB is calculated by reference to a standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is 0.058 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Mean recovery has been observed at 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 has been reported across these sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
