Human Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein A2/B1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com for the quantitative determination of human heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A2/B1 (hnRNP A2B1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for hnRNP A2B1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-hnRNP A2B1 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of hnRNP A2B1 is calculated against a standard curve. The assay has a reported sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml and a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

According to the manufacturer, recovery in serum (n=5) ranged from 80–102% with an average of 91%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81–101% with an average of 91%, and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80–89% with an average of 84%. Dilution linearity is reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
