Human Heparan Sulfate-2-O-Sulfotransferase 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HS2ST1 (Heparan Sulfate 2-O-Sulfotransferase 1) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. An antibody specific for HS2ST1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and standards or test samples are added so that HS2ST1 is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HS2ST1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow on addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a stated range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.052 ng/ml, with a total protocol time of 4 h 30 min. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery validation is reported across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n = 5 per matrix), with average recoveries of 91%, 91% and 84% respectively, and individual ranges of 80–102%, 81–101% and 80–89%. Dilution linearity is also reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same three matrices.
