Human Hemoglobin Gamma 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fetal Hemoglobin (Hemoglobin Gamma 1) in serum, plasma or erythrocyte lysates. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Fetal Hemoglobin is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, allowing Fetal Hemoglobin present in each sample to be captured by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Fetal Hemoglobin Antibody is added, which binds to the captured Fetal Hemoglobin. HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added, followed by TMB substrate solution. The HRP enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the density of yellow proportional to the amount of Fetal Hemoglobin captured in each well. The concentration of Fetal Hemoglobin can then be calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a measuring range of 469-30000 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <122.6 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and detection is colourimetric. The platform is a pre-coated microplate. The kit is suitable for use with serum and plasma samples. Kit components include a lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
