Human Heme Oxygenase 2, Decycling ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Heme Oxygenase 2 (HO-2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids [C0, S1]. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and a sandwich immunoassay workflow: standards and samples are captured by an immobilized anti-HO-2 antibody, then detected with a biotinylated anti-HO-2 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, and visualised with TMB substrate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm [S1].

Performance specifications include a measuring range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.066 ng/ml [S1]. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) the kit gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%) [S1]. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5 per matrix) spanned 74-107% in serum, 79-108% in EDTA plasma and 82-105% in heparin plasma [S1]. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes and results are read on a colorimetric microplate reader [S1].
