Human Heat Shock Transcription Factor 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Heat Shock Transcription Factor 2 (HSF2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for HSF2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and HSF2 is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-HSF2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue product that becomes yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the HSF2 concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of 0.072 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m and detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated plate of 12 x 8 well strips. Reported recovery is 80%-102% in serum (average 91%, n=5), 81%-100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5) and 80%-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5).
