Human Haptoglobin Related Protein ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Haptoglobin Related Protein (HPR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for HPR pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, captured HPR is bound by a biotinylated anti-HPR antibody, and detection proceeds via an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with HPR concentration calculated from a standard curve.

The assay has a stated product range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.29 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. It is reactive with human samples. Reported recovery data indicate an average of 91% (range 80–102%) for serum, 90% (range 81–100%) for EDTA plasma, and 84% (range 80–89%) for heparin plasma.
