Human Haptoglobin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Haptoglobin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and samples are added to the wells, where Haptoglobin is captured by an immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Haptoglobin Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. The TMB substrate reaction produces a yellow product measured at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The kit has a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.058 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min.

Validation reported average recoveries of 95% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma (n=5), with dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
