Human Guanylate Cyclase Activator 2A ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Guanylin (Guanylate Cyclase Activator 2A) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids [C0][S1]. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate bearing an antibody specific for the target; standards and samples are added and the captured analyte is bound by a biotinylated anti-Guanylin antibody, with detection via an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate that yields a blue product turning yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution [S1]. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the target concentration is calculated against a standard curve [S1].

Reported performance includes a sensitivity below 8.78 fmol/ml and an assay range of 31.2–2000 fmol/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min [S1]. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum produced recoveries of 83%–100% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90%–98% (average 94%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 90%–99% (average 94%, n=5) [S1]. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma [S1].
