Human Growth Differentiation Factor 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the quantitative measurement of human Growth Differentiation Factor 3 (GDF3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips) pre-coated with an antibody specific for GDF3, a biotinylated anti-GDF3 detection antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read colorimetrically at 450 nm. The standard curve spans 78.1–5000 pg/ml and the reported sensitivity is <34 pg/ml; total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery validation is provided for serum (range 80–102%, mean 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, mean 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, mean 84%, n=5), with linearity demonstrated across serial 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in each matrix. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and GDF3 concentration is calculated against the standard curve generated from the lyophilised standards supplied.
