Human Growth Differentiation Factor 15 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Growth Differentiation Factor 15 (GDF15) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate; standards and samples are added, the captured GDF15 is bound by a biotinylated anti-GDF15 antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is used for detection. TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm, with concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Sensitivity is <31 pg/ml, with an assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml. Spiking recovery has been demonstrated in serum (83%-100%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (90%-103%, average 96%, n=5) and heparin plasma (89%-102%, average 95%, n=5). The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
