Human Growth Differentiation Factor 11 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Growth Differentiation Factor 11 (GDF11). The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format with an antibody specific for GDF11 immobilised on the wells. Captured GDF11 is detected with a biotinylated anti-GDF11 antibody, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit reports a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5.5 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery values are 83-100% (average 91%) for serum, 90-103% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma and 89-102% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.
