Human Glyoxalase I ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human GLO1 (Glyoxalase I) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for GLO1 is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-GLO1 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The stated product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.115 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m and reactivity is limited to human samples. Spike-and-recovery performance (n=5) was reported as: serum 80-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81-100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%). Dilutional linearity was also assessed across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each of the three sample types.
