From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glycosylphosphatidylinositol Anchored Molecule Like Protein (GML) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Quantitative readout is achieved by measuring absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader following TMB substrate conversion, producing a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to GML concentration. The standard curve covers 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml. Reagents supplied include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers, stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated per component.

Validation data report average spike-and-recovery values of 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for all three sample types, with serum ranging 74–107%, EDTA plasma ranging 79–108%, and heparin plasma ranging 82–105%.
