Human Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 Alpha ELISA Kit

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for GSK3 alpha, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-GSK3 alpha Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate.

After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added; the resulting colourmetric reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the stop solution. The concentration of GSK3 alpha is determined by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and comparing to a standard curve. The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.049 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples fall within 74-109%.
