Human Glutathione S Transferase Alpha 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glutathione S-Transferase Alpha 1 (GSTA1). The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format.

The assay uses an immobilised anti-GSTA1 antibody to capture standards and samples, followed by a biotinylated anti-GSTA1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is converted to a yellow product read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to the GSTA1 concentration. The manufacturer states a product range of 0.625–40 ng/ml and a sensitivity of less than 0.265 ng/ml. Quoted recovery values (n=5) are 80–102% for serum, 81–100% for EDTA plasma and 80–89% for heparin plasma. The total assay time is 4 h 30 m.
