Human Glutathione Reductase ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glutathione Reductase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for Glutathione Reductase. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the analyte is bound by the immobilised antibody, and detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-Glutathione Reductase antibody followed by an HRP conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with a TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow after the addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit has a stated product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 35 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol, and the product should not be used past its expiration date. Reported spike-and-recovery values (n=5) were: serum range 80%–102% with an average of 91%, EDTA plasma range 81%–99% averaging 90%, and heparin plasma range 80%–89% averaging 84%. Dilution linearity was also reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
