Human Glutamine synthetase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glutamine Synthetase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cerebrospinal fluid, or other biological fluids, and is reactive with human samples.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where target protein is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Glutamine Synthetase Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The concentration of Glutamine Synthetase is calculated against a standard curve.

Sensitivity is <5.4 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Detection is colourimetric and total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery in serum (n=5) is 80%-102% with an average of 91%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) it is 81%-100% with an average of 90%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) it is 80%-89% with an average of 84%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
