Human Glutamate Receptor, Ionotropic, N-Methyl-D-Aspartate 2B ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human NMDAR2B (Glutamate Receptor, Ionotropic, N-Methyl-D-Aspartate 2B) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. Reported performance figures include an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.147 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m, with average recoveries of 91% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma and 94% in heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The procedure follows a sandwich immunoassay format in which standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-NMDAR2B antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-NMDAR2B antibody, and visualised using an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product has an absorbance at 450 nm that is proportional to the NMDAR2B concentration in each well.
