Human Glutamate Receptor, Ionotropic, AMPA 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ionotropic Glutamate Receptor 2 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Using the sandwich ELISA principle, an antibody specific for Ionotropic Glutamate Receptor 2 is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added, the target is bound by the immobilised antibody, and detection is achieved with a biotinylated anti-Ionotropic Glutamate Receptor 2 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a coloured product that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the target concentration calculated against a standard curve.

The standard curve covers a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.115 ng/ml, and the complete assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The pre-coated microplate is supplied as 12 × 8 well strips. Components include lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Recovery has been characterised in human serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average recoveries ranging from 84% to 91% across sample types. Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions.
