Human Glutamate Receptor, Ionotropic, AMPA 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glutamate Receptor 1 (AMPA Subtype) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an antibody specific for Glutamate Receptor 1 (AMPA Subtype) immobilised on the wells.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target analyte binds to the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Glutamate Receptor 1 (AMPA Subtype) Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution then visualises the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The complete assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is 0.056 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery performance has been validated across serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%, n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across these sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
