Human Glutamate Decarboxylase 1, Brain ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glutamate Decarboxylase 1, Brain (GAD67) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The 96-well pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) uses an antibody specific for GAD67 as the capture reagent, with a biotinylated anti-GAD67 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. After addition of TMB substrate, the enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the GAD67 concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

The quantitative assay has a reported sensitivity of <0.56 ng/ml and a working range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reactivity is human-specific. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the reagents must not be used past the expiration date.
