Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glutamate Cysteine Ligase, Modifier Subunit (GCLM) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. Reactivity is reported as human.

An antibody specific for GCLM is pre-coated onto the microplate. Standards or samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-GCLM Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate after washing. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colourimetric microplate reader and the GCLM concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The reported product range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.061 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Average recovery values reported for sample types are 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%), each across 5 samples. Dilution linearity is provided for the same three sample types across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
