Human Glucose Transporter 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glucose Transporter GLUT4 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with human samples and uses a colourimetric detection method.

The kit employs a pre-coated microplate platform and uses a biotinylated anti-GLUT4 detection antibody, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and target concentration is calculated by reference to the supplied standard curve. The standard curve covers a range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.114 ng/ml, and the assay is completed in 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated across serum (range 80–102%, mean 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, mean 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, mean 84%), with five samples tested per matrix.
