Human Glucose Transporter 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glucose Transporter GLUT2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Glucose Transporter GLUT2, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The kit has a working range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.64 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Captured GLUT2 is detected using a biotinylated anti-GLUT2 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, with signal generated by TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution producing a yellow colour proportional to target concentration. Validated recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5).

Linearity performance is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
