Human Glucose Transporter 1 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Human Glucose Transporter 1 ELISA Kit is a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro measurement of human Glucose Transporter GLUT1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Glucose Transporter GLUT1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where GLUT1 binds to the immobilised capture antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Glucose Transporter GLUT1 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution; the resulting blue product turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance read at 450 nm on a colourimetric microplate reader is proportional to the amount of GLUT1 captured in each well.

The assay is intended for use with human samples and has a stated product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.123 ng/ml. The complete protocol takes 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised in serum (average 91%, range 80–102%), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81–100%) and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80–89%), with dilution-linearity data reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
