Human Glucagon Like Peptide 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glucagon Like Peptide 2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique with a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips).

An antibody specific for Glucagon Like Peptide 2 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added and the target is captured by the coated antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Glucagon Like Peptide 2 Antibody binds the captured analyte, and HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The concentration of Glucagon Like Peptide 2 is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The assay has a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.046 ng/ml. Readout is by colorimetric microplate reader and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values across sample matrices are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
