Human Glucagon Like Peptide 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glucagon Like Peptide 1 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with Glucagon Like Peptide 1 antigen, in which analyte in the sample or standard competes with the immobilised antigen for binding to a biotinylated anti-Glucagon Like Peptide 1 antibody. An HRP-Avidin conjugate followed by TMB substrate produces a colour change that is inversely proportional to the amount of Glucagon Like Peptide 1 present, read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.44 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 2h 30m on a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Average recovery (n=5) is 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity data is also provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

The kit contains a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
