Human Glial Cell Line Derived Neurotrophic Factor Receptor Alpha 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human GDNF Receptor alpha 1 (GFRA1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a colorimetric readout based on a biotinylated anti-GFRA1 detection antibody, HRP–avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.119 ng/ml and a standard curve range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery in five replicates ranged from 80–102% (average 91%) in serum, 81–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types (n=5) showed recoveries of 70–107%, 89–93%, 86–104% and 80–103% respectively for serum; 95–100%, 85–110%, 81–99% and 90–102% for EDTA plasma; and 77–104%, 88–95%, 94–104% and 80–107% for heparin plasma.
