Human Glial Cell Line Derived Neurotrophic Factor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Glial Cell Line Derived Neurotrophic Factor (GDNF). It is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in which an antibody specific for GDNF is immobilised; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-GDNF antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with the resulting colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Stated performance characteristics include a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.053 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%, n=5), with linearity demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each of these sample types.
