Human Ghrelin-O-Acyltransferase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MBOAT4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for MBOAT4 pre-coated onto a microtiter plate, with a biotinylated anti-MBOAT4 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of MBOAT4 captured in each well, read by absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and calculated against a standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.26 ng/ml and a working range of 0.781–50 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reagents are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the component labels, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
