Human Gelsolin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Gelsolin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reactivity is human.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips). Gelsolin in standards and samples is captured by the immobilized antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-Gelsolin antibody and an HRP conjugate, then visualised with TMB substrate. The reaction produces a yellow product measured at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader; detection is sandwich (quantitative).

Specifications differ between formulations. Assay time is 4h 30m [S1] or 4 hours [S2]. Sensitivity is <2.56 ng/ml [S1] or <9.375 pg/mL [S2]. Assay range is 6.25–400 ng/ml [S1], 15.625–1000 pg/mL [S2] or 7.8–500 ng/ml [S3]. Recovery for undiluted serum averaged 91% (n=5, range 80–102%) [S1] or 94% (n=10, 85–103%) [S2]; EDTA plasma averaged 90% [S1] or 97% [S2]; heparin plasma averaged 84% [S1] or 96% [S2]. Dilutional linearity data is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2 to 1:16 [S1] and 1:2 to 1:8 [S2]. No cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants is reported [S2]. Components are shipped at +4°C and stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided [S1, S2].
