The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate and uses a biotinylated anti-GGT5 antibody with HRP-avidin detection and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported sensitivity is 0.55 ng/ml and the standard curve range is 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Manufacturer-supplied recovery data show average values of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix).
