Human Gamma-Glutamyltransferase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Gamma-Glutamyltransferase 1 (GGT1/GGT) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and the colour reaction is read by measuring the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Detection is colourimetric, with a sensitivity of <0.59 ng/ml and a working assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m. Standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-GGT1/GGT antibody, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-GGT1/GGT Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting yellow product density is proportional to GGT1/GGT concentration and is quantified against a standard curve.

Components supplied include a Pre-Coated 96 Well Microplate, Lyophilized Standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and Plate Sealers. Storage is at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Reported recoveries are: Serum (n=5) 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA Plasma (n=5) 81%–100% (average 90%) and Heparin Plasma (n=5) 80%–89% (average 84%); dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is also provided for each sample type.
