Human Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid A Receptor Alpha 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human GABA A Receptor alpha 2 (GABRA2) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, with a biotinylated anti-GABRA2 detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the analyte concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is <0.059 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Recovery validation in spiked samples (n=5) averaged 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–101%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery of 70%–107%, 89%–93%, 86%–104% and 80%–103%; EDTA plasma recovery of 95%–100%, 85%–110%, 81%–99% and 90%–102%; and heparin plasma recovery of 77%–104%, 88%–95%, 94%–104% and 80%–107%.
