Human Galectin 7 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Galectin 7. It is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells and Galectin 7 is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Galectin 7 Antibody is added followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, stopped with acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated against the standard curve. The manufacturer quotes a standard curve range of 125-8000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <48 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C according to the supplied instructions.

Manufacturer validation data report mean recovery of added Galectin 7 in serum at 91% (range 80-102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma at 90% (range 81-100%, n=5) and in heparin plasma at 84% (range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is reported as 87-107% for serum, 84-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma.
