Human Galectin 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Galectin 3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses pre-coated microplate strips in a 12 x 8 well format and produces colorimetric results read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

With a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml, the kit delivers quantitative results within a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%; n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%; n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%; n=5), with consistent linearity observed across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. The workflow employs a biotinylated anti-Galectin 3 detection antibody and an HRP–avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate providing the colorimetric readout that shifts from blue to yellow upon addition of the stop solution. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and should not be used past the stated expiration date.
