Human Galectin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Galectin 2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses pre-coated 96-well microplate strips arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and follows the sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle, employing a biotinylated anti-Galectin 2 detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The reaction is read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader. Sensitivity is 0.115 ng/ml and the quantitative range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Recovery has been characterised in serum (n=5, range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%, average 84%). Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 has been reported for serum (n=5, 74%–107%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 79%–108%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 82%–105%). Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 μl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.
